The Alaska Green City Guide Site is the Internet portal to everything Green in Alaska and your connection to the largest Internet network of Green-minded people in all 50 states! Your one-stop Internet resource center for Green news, technology and happenings across the continent.


Alaska state MapPresident Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Alaska Statehood Bill into law on July 7, 1958. Alaskans accepted statehood as presented in the federal law the following month and elected their first state officials in November. On January 3, 1959, President Eisenhower proclaimed Alaska to be the forty-ninth state of the United States.

 

Alaska is a beautiful state full of natural resources and wildlife. Being green in Alaska is often matter of survival, a sense of pride and a desire to protect the resources of this natural state.

 

We are Volunteers

The Alaska Green City Guide Team consists of volunteer developers, writers, administrators and individuals who, together with a dedicated community across the state of Alaska are dedicated to developing a comprehensive Internet portal for everything green Alaska.

How Green Are You?

We are all about community helping community.  And what better way to help than to share your experiences in creating a healthy and green environment - whether it is converting your home to a 'green' one, planting an organic garden, recycling tips, education of green topics, or simply wanting to share what you have learned over time to enhance your living envrionment by going green.  We invite you to submit your experiences, tips and knowledge for the contribution to all communities making an effort to 'green up.'

We have provided a system here that makes it easy for you to become an editor and provide your own content.  To participate, it is free to join, click here to join.
